The 7 Habits

Meaningful change starts with you. Your habits make you who you are.
Changing your daily habits is the key to making your life more productive both in terms of your time and your relationships.
This programme teaches 7 habits for being more effective and ultimately happier.

HABIT 1: BE PROACTIVE

You are responsible. Response-able. You have the ability to choose how you respond to any stimulus. The more you do this the more you expand your circle of influence. This habit is the foundation for growing your effectiveness.

HABIT 2: BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND

Imagine you looked back on your life at your 80th birthday party. Would you be happy with you life or have some regrets? Life goals, mission statements and personal values give us the direction and purpose we need to be effective.

HABIT 3: PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST

When you know where you’re going you then need to spend your time trying to get there. That means you need to stop doing some things. You need to ignore or delegate other tasks. Most importantly you need to maximise your time on important but not urgent activities most people never get around to doing to become more effective.

HABIT 4: THINK WIN WIN

If you thought about your relationships as bank accounts which relationships would we be in credit and which in debt? Choosing our relationships to nurture and our relationships to let go of will expand your capacity to be more effective.

 

HABIT 5: SEEK FIRST TO UNDERSTAND AND THEN BE UNDERSTOOD

Do you listen with your ears? Or do you listen with your eyes and heart too? You build trust by truly listening to what other people have to say and being able to interpret that in your own words. Active listening leads to more effectiveness.

HABIT 6: SYNERGIZE

How does 1 + 1 = 3? This is the habit of difference and in particular the power that comes from seeking out people who are different and embracing that. Effectiveness comes easier when you’re not the limitation.

 

HABIT 7: SHARPEN THE SAW

Are you putting yourself first? You are your number one asset. Feed your physical, mental and spiritual needs to help you be effective every day.
